I had this controller for almost 3 years and because of your video, I was able to program it with 3 head lights and a laser and it is amazing to do it automatically. because I had used it manually I can program it faster. thank you for making it simple.

Very informative THANKS. Still a bit insecure how to save Scenes…. I got the impression that You could save all channels ( like a screenshot) in scene 1. But then I understood you fx have to save the values of one fixture at a time in scene 1 ?

I like that you showed us on the DMX controller what the sliders and buttons do and what they correspond to in programming. This really helps me understand how to program. Now I need to connect some lights to my DMX controller and see it for myself. Thank you for your explanation.

Is there a way to display two programmed scenes together at the same time? IE I have light 1 on red, on scene 1 and light 2 on green for scene 2...can I have these on at the same time without alternating?

Is there a way to show two scenes at one time? IE: If I have a setup on scene 1 and scene 2, how do I have those on at the same time?

Good afternoon. I am a husband who is running a light board for a community theater. I am not a lighting designer! The theater just installed new ADJ lights: Specifically four ADJ PAR Z120 RGBW units. The setup on the board is as follows: - Light 1 -> Assigned to Fixture 1 (channel 8, address 1) -> Faders 1-4 on the operator board are RGBW. - Light 2 -> Assigned to Figure 2 (channel 8, address 17) -> Faders 1-4 on the operator board are RGBW - Light 3 -> Assigned to Figure 3 (channel 8, address 33) -> Faders 1-4 on the operator board are RGBW - Light 4 -> Assigned to Figure 4 (channel 8, address 49) -> Faders 1-4 on the operator board are RGBW You can see the problem with this setup. While I have individual lighting control as individual fixtures, I cannot have Red on light 1/figure 1 and Green on light 2/figure 2 as sliders 1-4 on channel selection A on the DMX operator board have the same assignments. I would like to setup the DMX board to have the following setup: - Light 1 -> Assigned to Fixture 1 (channel 8, address 1) -> Faders 1-4 on the DMX Operator Board (Page Select A) on the operator board are RGBW. - Light 2 -> Assigned to Figure 2 (channel 8, address 17) -> Faders 5-8 on the DMX Operator Board (Page Select A) on the operator board are RGBW - Light 3 -> Assigned to Figure 3 (channel 8, address 33) -> Faders 1-4 on the DMX Operator Board (Page Select B) on the operator board are RGBW - Light 4 -> Assigned to Figure 4 (channel 8, address 49) -> Faders 5-8 on the DMX Operator Board (Page Select B)on the operator board are RGBW This way I can have individual colors on all four lights at different times. Thank you very much. You have just cleared the fog hanging over the whole issue of DMX 512 information. The mfg/suppier's approach is that you already know how the system (s) work. The white board is a great way to "lay it all out" for us older (I'm 70 yr) newbies doing community theater. (Orion Orcan fixtures/Rockforce 384 controller)

So basically what happens if i set the first light to DMX address of 1 and then set the second light to a DMX address of 16? Will the second be activated when I tilt the first for example? Since the first one is taking from 1 to 16 addresses

I'm starting to get the hang of how to use my DMX controller; however, is there any way to make the lights "wave" around with this controller? I have this same controller and was wondering if this was the way to go in order to make the lights "wave."

Earlier this month, I received my DMX controller - and I’m definitely learning the ropes!! I have four Startec Stinger Spots, two DMX spider lights - and I have four DMX wash lights on the way!! 😎✌️

Congrats for going so long without saving! I completed a Plasma Cutter only run myself today and it was actually tense at some point. Probably because I haven't played this game in a couple of years and I didn't remember the spawns. Even then, after getting slapped and killed by the first Tripod, I only died a couple of times in Chapter 14, mostly because I run through most of it and didn't take my time to get rid of the necromorphs correctly, which caused me to be overwhelmed and panic lol. This was all the more frustrating given I had saved right as you begin chapter 13, and I even managed to die there too at one point. I still skipped some rooms because I wasn't going to redo them after dying, like the Raptor room and the Red Room with a Brute at the end (it seems like they spawn non stop here). Luckily by the endgame you have so many credits you can just buy as much ammo and medkits as you need.

Where did you get your stand for your light?

This has been Very informative for this old man. Retired Club D.J. of 54. Embarrassing to say I started as a club lighting coordinator then turned D.J where I had a 17yr run. Kids and life happened. Good thing I always kept my day job right... All they play now is Hippity Hop and Rap anyway.. no variety at all. Boarding! Anyway it was all dip switches back then and most of the time the scenes etc. were already programmed by a pro that the club hired. My son Has his own band now and wants the old man to do his light show. I picked up a controller and wireless dangles to make things easier. DMX Really helps cue off the vertical led Smoke machines. I want to program some spider lights as well. Just getting started but looking good.

I got the CO-Z DMX 192/512 for X-mas to control 2 mini led moving heads and an ADJ Rayzer RBG + Laser. Your video helped me greatly.

When setting scene points, (this example uses 2 moving head fixtures), is there a way to mirror fixture 2 to fixture 1 so both lights move asymmetrically vs having to position each light independently?

Looks like a very archaic channel matching system. How can you quickly figure out what controller setting corresponds to channel #107?

What is the EDM song playing in the background? I legit like it alot and i forgot what it is called and i wanna play it on my stuff aswell. I also have a 100 watt U King White DMX moving head 8 GOBO DMX light and holly shit this monster is so fun to play with with the controllers and still fun with the little remote too. I am soon gonna get that Controller hopefully soon when'ever i can. This video is soooo helpful and so good information educational information tutorial videos! Aspecially for me, i easily can learn stuff and my 8 GOBO DMX Moving Head light is a white body color instead of the default black color. I do like the whites and blacks. It's also helpful when you clean the light's lenses too. Like dusty, dirty, smudges/smudged, easily to clean up too. Long as you know what you are doing and using! xD

As many others have already said “Thank You!” for making such a great tutorial! I have this exact board and this is now my go to refreshing my understanding of this controller. Only use it on Halloween so I don’t remember it as well as I would like. You have saved my bacon so to speak for another year. 😅 Thanks and wish you the best.
